My most memorable Christmas would have to be my daughter's First Christmas. She was just a baby. My life had completely changed the moment she was born. It wasnt about me anymore......there was someone new who needed me.

We were living in an old Mill house ... I missed the last few days of school because I had chicken pox ... Mom, Dad, and My sister ... put up a huge Christmas tree and decorated it while I laid on the couch. It must have been 8 foot tall with the lighted star on top. Colored lights and bells and shinny balls ... and ... the whole tree covered with Angle Hair ... It was so pretty ...
Mom made popcorn balls, fudge ... both peanut butter and chocolate ... and divinity ... and all kinds of Christmas cookies and candies all home made ... along with assorted fruit and nuts ...
Dad and Mom had tease us for a long time that they had gotten each my sister and I a gift that was three stories tall ... and we both were trying to guess what it was ...
Anyway ... roasting marshmallows in the fireplace and just being with family and having fun playing cards and assorted board games was nice ...
I will miss my Dad this year ... but I know he is with us in spirit ... he gave me the cake recipe in a dream ... he had been trying to put together a chocolate orange cake/pie for several years past ... he must have figured it out and told me in a dream so I could make it this year ...
