Hey, just a question. Who here, if anyone, reads (has read) and adores Robert Anson Heinlein. I wanna start a discussion of his works, style and ideas.
In My personal opinion he was, is and always shall be the father/master of the modern Science Fiction genre.
I'm slowly trying to build a collection of his works, but keep losing books to lending. I'm trying to get my younger friends into reading this greatest of all Sci-Fi masters.
Discuss...

As much as i would love to read, my pc seems to win over. I have never heard of him but i love sci-fi. That last sci-fi book i read was Halo. Yes it sounds dorky, but it was actually a very good book.
He is the best. If you ever get a chance pick him up. I'll go through here soon and make up a comprehensive list of his work and post it. Then you can choose a title that sounds interesting and grab it. He started back in 1939. and continued writing into the 1980's when he died.
He was a visionary as well as a humanitarian. In one of his early works in the late 1940's early 1950's he introduced the idea of the mobile phone.

Ah, that was one of his best... You have to understand that he does not necessarily espouse every idea that he puts forth... He merely puts them out there to be thought about.
The unedited version of 'Stranger' is even better than the one originally put out. His wife pulled the Original manuscript out and had it printed. It's got a shitton of added material that was removed from the original printing for various reasons.
I'll get that list soon.

Methusalah's Children is the first book of the cycle. Lazarus is about 250 years old at that point. Time Enough for love is basically his life story (minus a few twists).
Enjoy.
