be very careful about downloading any thing from msn right now.
That said, my computer crashed and had to be swiped. I am still attempting to regain all the fav. links I had. The guy that does my computer stated that there is a nasty virus going around, one he hasnt seen before, and msn is also doing alot of updates notices but its not an update. its cashing computers.
His friend that just bought a brand new computer from best buy did a down load from the windows butterfly. He got something and called. They wanted 150 to clear it, and he said nope..I will return the comuter and get a new one. He also reported MSN for the bull.
the service guy said it was smart not to have msn clear it and then keep the computer- the stuff in the download was totally corrupted and the entire computer will be trashed. he got another one, due to less then a month old.
just becareful about what you download. My computer was the 6th one he had to wipe clear, it wouldnt even allow me to go in in safe mode to back up files. it was nothing but the blue screen...

There are other ways to back up files on a computer that is suffering BSoD's, if the guy had known what he was doing then he should of been able to get your stuff back.
Computers are not scary stuff btw, but the idea that they are can be forced on to people sometimes.
