I will be gone for a few. I finally got norton uninstalled, and ow nothing is reinstalling nor can I get another installed.


this scares me silly, rightly so.


 


 


any one know any good antivirus pograms that are free at that I can download(or try to)

Here is a free 1 year program, TC. I have used it for a long time till i just recently switched to Avast. I didn't switch because it had failed me at all.

Free antivirus very good product

For free spyware removals,  gotta get Ad-A-Ware SE.  Free download from www.download.com


Its off of C-net.com.  Also get Spybot Search and Destroy,  both are free.For an Anti-Virus prog.  download   AVG.  is from Gri-Soft....

I use AVG on my computers and have never had a problem. Google AVG antivirus and you will find the website. As far as spyware, I use Windows defender and Spybot Search and Destroy.

Yes sparky I did some of what you did at TAH..


I did the spybot stuff.....great program.


 


now...it shows that nortoin was not removed, and upto date. even after I did all that other stuff.


i need to defrag and Im doing that tonight befoe I go to bed.


otherwise its not acting as bad. I now show that I have no virus and no spyware hidden anywhere....
