I spent the last few hours putting together a family trip to Montana and Idaho w/ visits to Oregon and Washington.....if anyone is planning any extensive outdoors type trip I would recommend using Google earth....I only found it yesterday but's awsome It's free and gives you some really high res photos of most of the country (I could zoom in on my own house and see my truck in the driveway) this has plenty of applications for hunting, hiking, camping etc.

yes, Google Earth is a cool tool to have around and fun to play with. in a city enviroment its great but if you are checking out non populated land the resolution is not so great.

Yeah I should have mentioned that...Inwood Manhattan was great but Riggins, ID was just ok...
