STOP WALKING ON EGGSHELLS


Okay this book was recommended to me, so I bought it today...  I wonder how it will be. Its a self-help guide for family and friends of individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder.  Anyone ever read it?

Yes!!  It was recommended to me because my mom may supposedly be borderline.  I don't remember much about it, but I remember strongly relating to it because I could see my mom in so much they talked about.  It was kind of a comfort to know I wasn't the only one going through it.

Photo, are you reading this book because of the devil?  It was recommended to me as a way of understanding my mom.

Why yes, yes I am..lol..


I am enjoying the book so far.  It makes things much clearer and I can relate to alot of the info provided in it.... 


I hate putting the book down.. Damn sleep and work getting in the way, oh and of course the internet.

That's great that you're enjoying the book.  While I was reading, I kept thinking, Wow my mom isnt' the only one.  I think the most important thing it did for me was to alleviate the guilt I would get for setting her off, or somehow causing her to be that way.  Are you finding that too?

I am finding many things with it to give me a better perspective, I am currently getting ready to hit the chapter where u deal their actions, by setting boundaries and stuff

I should get this book....got a few of those people in both my professional and private life.... I really have to research just what "Borderline" means though.....I might just have two compulsive liars and a sociopath instead....lol

In the book, it gives the DSM of what the criteria is for a borderline.

 I'm kinda amused by the DSM and other classification systems which get revised and updated every couple of years....When I got hired I was subjected to the MN Multiphasic  personality inventory which assigns you a three digital number (each digit means something differrent) so we could be a 666 or a 696 or a 699 or a 669

P.S. I went to the Chief's office and read my report 10 yrs after I was hired.....the report was dead on!
