I totally agree.

about a month ago I was in traffic and was at a VERY busy intersection.

this guy was on his phone, and STOPPED in the middle of the friggin intersection and starts talking and waving his arms. (you could tell he was pissed) and the light turned red.

being the first in the line to go i blew and blew and really pissed on his parade.

It happened again to me yesterday. There's a wreck at a busy intersection where this young girl was gabbing on her cell phone (she said she wasn't but she's full of it) and she actually went around a car stopped in front of her to enter the intersection and hit an oncoming car head on.

They damage to both vehicles was minimal so I ask her to move to an adjacent turn lane to free up traffic. She starts out by pointing her car in the wrong freaking direction. Now keep in mind the entire time she's doing this she is on the cell phone.

I finally yell "HANG UP THE PHONE AND DRIVE THE CAR WHERE I TOLD YOU TO!"

Later she said "I don't understand why you yelled at me."

It took every ounce of willpower to say "Because you are a complete and total fucktard, lady."

and the sad fact is she doesnt think she did a damn thing wrong.

cells should be banned totally in cars. period

not "only in emergancy" or anything. if you talk---PARK THE CAR.

in 1996 I had a 4 month civic. some bitch hit me while I was totally stoped at a red.

she pushed me about 25 feet. (she was doing about 30 then)

and acted like it was my fault . and yes she was on the cell phone the entire time.

It's actually more complicated than that. There was an episode of Mythbusters where the confirmed that talking on a cell phone and driving is just as dangerous as being DUI.

But originally, I was also referring to people who would rather sacrifice their social graces so they can talk on a cell. Even outside the car when dealing with other people. It's just obnoxious.
