Another forum member just sent this to me, this is one of my classmates who were injuried in Iraq about 2 months ago and just died recently. Now these gay mother fuckers are protesting his own funeral. You know who I am talking about.

Toby, Why are they doing this? And they call themselves Baptists? Sounds more like athiests to me. Who are they to question God? Was your friend homosexual? Doesn't sound like it. I presume your friend was in the military. Last time I checked the military did not allow homosexuals to serve. I personally do not condone the homosexual lifestyle but it is not my place to judge others. I don't think they are homosexual but just a bunch of gay-bashers. I am a civilian employee of the military and consider it an honor to do what I do for them.

First, I am sorry to hear about the death of your friend, he died a hero.
Second, these idiots are nothing more than well, shit disturbers. It is my understanding that they do these protests and have someone standing on the side lines with a camera in case someone gets "out of line" with them. Then they can sue.
They should all be sent to Iraq to ride with the boys they are slandering. I just hope like hell they stay out of my town, there is no way I could sit there and "protect" them.
For your information, although I know it is a little late, there is a group of veterans and bikers that has been travelling against these folks. They show up at the funerals and shield the family from these idiots with flags and the like.
I love the freedoms of this country, and I would die to protect them, but people like this truly make me wonder if it is worth it sometimes.

Umm CTR, I am gay as all get out and I was in the military... Now that I am thinking of it, I hung out with alot of gay folks and well they were in the military as well.
Now back to topic, Toby I think that is crappy that they are doing that. I am sorry for the loss of ur friend.

Yes, Photo, I knew about your sexual preference but was not aware that the military was now accepting homosexuals. Maybe times have changed, maybe I just didn't notice it, maybe they always have but I just never ran across it. Granted when I was in basic training was over 20 years ago so maybe the military has become more tolerant.
Beings I'm from California I have been accused of being gay just because of San Francisco, I Guess. But this came from people who thought my state was only for surfers and gays. We have farmland and mountains, too. Just goes to show you how close minded some people are.
I have had gay friends as well, just as long as they didn't try to pick up on me, we were fine. They understood that. I've had friends inform me that they were gay and were curious if that would change the friendship. My answer was and is always no. It doesn't matter to me whether one is gay, straight or likes aliens. Ones sexual preference is really none of my business IMHO.
What these people are doing is wrong even if Toby's friend was gay. The way I see it is he was a veteran and died for his country so that I can enjoy the freedoms that this country has to offer. I am extremely grateful towards any veteran including you. Thank you for your service to our country. I feel that, morally, I could not work for my employer if I felt otherwise.
Toby, I am extremely sorry for your loss and hope that these idiots can be dealt with. Come on, protesting at someones funeral? And a veteran at that. They may have the right but that is pretty low. I can understand your anger at this situation. I am angry about it, too. Let us know what happens there.

Toby hun I am sorry for your loss. Again you know how i feel about this subject I told you last night on the phone...
But if anyone wants to start saying god would do this god would do that.. The bible says love them as Jesus would love them. I dont see anyone complaining that we are living safe and not being bombed or having our planes flown into buildings anymore. That soldier died for what they believed In the freedom of America they all the soldiers who have died , died for us. There sexuality should not be an issue. That is no ones business. They are not hurting anyone.
I feel if you dont support our troops you dont support our country.
I have love for all gay ,straight and even bi soldiers . there sexuality should have nothing to do with what they are fighting for. Judge not for ye shall be judged.

But to answer some of your questions. My classmate was not gay, he had a hottie for a girlfriend. Also on monday the state law makers passed a bill to forbid anyone to protest a funeral an hour before and an hour after. I even let this church know what is going on as far as that goes. I myself haven't talked to anyone who protested against there bullshit protest, so I can't say if there was any problems or not. Thanks everyone for letting me rant.

Those adamhenrys came to my town recently when one of our local boys got killed in Iraq. We had excellent support from the local citizens and vet groups. The vet groups stationed themselves outside of the funeral home, and blocked the family's view of the protesters. Motorcycle groups came in, along with the vets on the day of the funeral, again blocking the family's view of the protesters.. It was an excellent day, the protesters voices were drowned out by the motorcyclists, and the family was supported by the local people.
They were not accusing the deceased soldier of being gay, (he was not), but their warped way of thinking, God is punishing all of us, mostly the soldiers, because this country accepts the gays so well..
The protesters even brought their children with them....
