I'm reading Food Politics, by Marion Nestle and also Hot and Sweaty Rex by Eric Garcia, which is the third of his books about a private eye who is part of a group of dinosuars wearing human costumes who live among humans. It's a pretty funny book.

Blindsighted by Karen Slaughter great book plus I finished it tonight....


Now I am waiting for The Fivth Horseman by James Patterson Is his newest book to the womens murder club series.  Preordered it from Amazon it should be in anyday now its about to hit the market. 


I also just finished reading Predator by Patricia Cornwell....

The Prey by Allison Brennan. I started it last night. It's about a former FBI agent turned author.......she wakes up one morning to discover reporters in her front yard...she assumes they want an interview until her agent informs her that a young woman has been brutally murdered. SO? The victim has the same name and was murdered the same way (with the same details..blood spatter, etc.)as the main character of her latest novel.......OOOOOOOHHHHHHH!


I cant wait to read more...I read 6 pages and got sleepy ...need my rest, you know!

hey Styx,  I am not fond of hardback books myself for the same reasons....plus, they are hard to sneak into work.


The 4th of July was a very good book.  Yes, Predator is a good book if you can get passed the way Pete treats Kay thru the whole book. It also had  a great twist in the end, you think you have it figured out but, DAMN!


If you have not read any of Karen Slaughter try Blindsighted... She writes alot like P. Cornwell.


I try to buy books from Amazon....the used books, they are in good condition and sometimes new.....

Great book, i started on the Harry Bosch novells and they are pretty good. I like Sandford better do.


I´m reading The Abs diet wich is a great book, i´m sticking to it, abs in 6 weeks they say. It´s gonna work as they are allready starting to show and i´m still in week 1

I read Twisted........keep reading it; its not his best, but its ok......for some reason, Kellermans most recent Delaware novels wander a bit . When I read a book that I start to lose interest in, I just finish it because I want to see if it gets better or what has happened. I usually give the book away because I know I wont read it again. (Yes, I read some books again, years later.....just like watching a movie again) I didnt like Conspiracy Club....dont bother.  Therapy was ok, but not great. I wasnt sure about Monster. Bad Love was pretty good. The Murder Book was rather complicated, but not bad....


When I read Conspiracy Club and hated it, I thought that I didnt like it because I had just reading Kellerman only for over a year. I switched to Kathy Reichs...read all of hers and then went to Patricia Cornwell. .....got tired of her after Cause of Death and another one that was not what I expected. Stephen White is pretty good too! Same old forensic psych kind of stuff with a few detectives who help the main character out...and a D.A. for a wife.


 I get obsessive about books and authors. If I like something, I just read the same author over and over and then I hit a bad book.....ugh......so I switch. I love the "Look Inside" feature in Amazon.com. I can read the first few paragraphs to see if the book interests me before I buy it.

Umm... Psychology, Policing America, Court Procedures and Intro to CJ. Light reading ya know.

I was reading a book about the Black Dahlia murder, just haven't had time to pick it back up. I just ordered LA Confidential by James Ellroy and (pre ordered) Christopher Moore's new book.

"Double Tap" by Steve Martini.  It's going very s-l-o-w-l-y.  Other than the initial murder, there hasn't been any action, and I'm 2/3 of the way through the book.   


It's just a lot of mental gymnastics by the attorneys for the accused.

Just had to turn in The Scarlet Letter to my work's library since I'll be shortly ending my employment there. Halfway through a book on John Wayne Gacy....it's not the greatest. Thinking about re-reading Stephen King's IT or maybe I'll go use my Border's gift card and actually pick something new up. Or I might say screw it and just go the library like always.
