I used to work at WalMart. Does that count? Since Sam Walton split up his holdings when he died I'm not surprised to see his family in the list.
I use Dell Computers so I guess I contributed there, too.
I am a distant descendent of Daniel Boone, Davy Crocket, some Mayflower passengers, and some of those who were persecuted in the Salem Witch Hunts.

I am not related to anybody famous. My uncle has played the bass in some movie soundtracks, the latest being "I Walk the Line" or whatever that Johnny Cash movie is called. He wrote some of the music for that too. He is not famous, though...he just loves music and does what he loves for a living. He has met some famous people and worked with them, but that is it.

It is on DVD already.......not sure if I even have the title correct. Joaquin Pheonix is in it along with Reese Witherspoon. I hear it really good; one of those movie I have not found time to see, but its on my Netflix list, so I should see it one of these days.
My uncle also played music in the soundtrack of the Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya sisterhood.
He only loves playing his music....not the meeting famous people part. He really likes working with certain music producer /composer people in that area. He never talks about the actors he meets...her prefers hanging out with musicians.
He lives in California and has most of his adult life. He is a pretty neat guy...60 years old, but looks about late 40's. He takes good care of himself so he will be doing what he loves for a long time.

Yeah, it is pretty cool.....I love visiting my family when my uncles get together for a jam session. There are a few missing, now, but we still know they are with us in spirit.
One of my uncles used to play the piano on the Johnny Carson show; he was the same uncle who played for JFK at his stop in Houston before his final stop in Dallas. He played for Bob Hope, too. He has some sweet stories about all the famous people he has met ...funny, too. He says George Bush (senior) is fun to be around....nice guy.
I have another uncle who was in Mel Brooks' Silent Movie..he was, you guessed it, a musician. It was a short appearance, but we saw him. My cousin (his son) has been in a few movies as an extra...a few speaking parts.
My grandfather and a few of my uncles used to play at The Houston Club regularly. They even made an album (yes, that long ago). I guess they were famous in Houston at one time.

Well I don't have any of those folks in my family tree, but I do have Irish royalty in my VERRY distant past. Somewhere way back there I have some kind of relation that was an Irish lord or something in the 1100's in County Cork.
I have also been told that I tie into English and Scottish royalty but I haven't made the literal connection yet. Genealogy is one of my favorite pastimes and hobbies. Another one of those things that I have been meaning to get back in to.
