We just added a new kitty to our family a couple of weeks ago! We named him Smudge, for that little mark on his nose and the spot on his chin.
Such a cute little guy, he plays around like a typical kitten, but he is so calm and tame I just have to wonder where he came from! When we pick him up he is just completely relaxed almost dead weight. I have never had such a layed back cat!
Ask CTR for the story on how we got him! HE's the one who brought Smudge home!

yeah he is already taking screws out of stuff!! Yikes!!!
Actually I rolled the screws and screwdriver across the floor to get his attention and to get him to hold still long enough for me to take his picture!

Ok, Some of you might know the story behind the cop that was killed in my home town and that I knew him and his family through being customers on one of my paper routes. Well one early morning I was stopped in front of his house as usual cause I have to get out to porch their paper and reload papers from the back of our Focus wagon to the front seat. While I was doing this, Smudge comes walking out of their courtyard porch area up to me so I gave him a few pets and went about my job. Porched Howie's paper and then continued on with my route. I was about 3/4 of the way done with the route when Smudge decided to make it known that he had jumped in the car. I guess he was cold or wanted some companionship. I took him home and gave him some food and water. He didn't appear to be starved but looks quite like the pic you saw here earlier. I emailed Howie's son Bryce on myspace to find out if he knew who Smudge belonged to. He later emailed me back and said that he didn't know who Smudge belonged to and that he had asked those in his neighborhood if they were missing a kitten. No body was missing anyone so we decided to add him to our family of now 8 cats, all inside ones, and all fixed. He is so laid back for a kitten and gets along with everybody that I couldn't stand to part with him. Maybe it was meant to be, but we will do our best to give him a good home. I just think that is was really great the way he came into our lives.
