CLEVELAND (AP) -- Officers who went to a home to serve a search warrant found a skeleton in the bed where an 80-year-old woman said her mother was sleeping.
Police believe the remains belong to the woman's 98-year-old mother, who hadn't been seen in at least three years.
Officers went to the home Wednesday to serve a search warrant for building, housing and health code violations, but the woman said they couldn't come inside because her mother was sleeping. After persuading her to let them in the house, the officials pulled back the blanket on the bed and found the skeleton.
The daughter, whose name was withheld until her family was notified, was taken to St. Vincent Charity Hospital.
WOW...that made me realize that if my mother lives to be 98...my sister (who she is living with) will be 80. I will be 64. Guess I better take care of myself so I can take care of them....good grief.

I think she was senile & forgot that mom needed to eat occasionally.
That's possible...so sad that she did not have anyone taking care of her.
If it was a skeleton they found, she was "sleeping" for quite some time. Even in hot and humid conditions, I cant imagine a body decomposing very fast to the point of a skeleton.......can you?
She is either hiding something or is really senile to not know her mother was dead and not asleep......hhhhmmmm......
