Oh how you gotta love the village....Automatic two cars minimum for any type of call there. Of course, the residents heard it, but no one will say anything.
HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Deputies in Harrison Township said a man was found shot multiple times inside a van. A deputy discovered the man’s body while on routine patrol early Thursday morning near the Northland Village Apartments.
The van was found around 2:30 a.m. behind a couple of apartments. The deputy on patrol said he saw the van parked with its dome light on.
According to deputies, the van was a work vehicle.
According to the coroner's office and deputies, the man had been shot multiple times. They said it does not appear to be a suicide. The death is now being investigated as a homicide.
The victim has been identified, but his name has not been released, pending notification of family members.
At this time, detectives do not know what sparked the fatal shooting. Capt. Greg Laravie said investigators are looking into the possibility of a connection that the neighborhood is a high-crime area and has seen drug trafficking in the past.
Because the van was parked in an area that is highly populated, deputies believe someone may have heard or seen something.
