You need to go into whatever program you are using to scan and clean and check the options. There may be a place to choose to clear this or leave it. What are you using to clean?

eeeeeeekkkk. Norton's. The devil incarnate. Well I use none of those so I don't know much. The ad aware would.t erase your history but i could be wrong. I think this may be a question for Sparkle.

I have used it for quite a while now and have remained virus free. If i get something it is malware. That shit can screw up your pc quick. I will try to make a section with all the links to the free malware and anti spy programs. Ya know, spread the LUV around. Peace man

contrary to popular opinion HERE.....

Norton anti-virus is what I recommend to customers.  NOT the personal firewall or internet security stuff.

You are loosing your history most likely because of Adaware.....  If you look in the not so critical items list...you will see HISTORIES....all of them.  If you check them all...the drop down of your browser is being erased.

You can't....new history will be created.  This is a good thing  8)
