Good luck Texas sister...I feel for you. I just came back from my weekend of organizing a parental move.

Its all detailed in the Adios thread I started before I left.

Good grief.....this is a lot tougher than I thought it would be since all my siblings have their own opinion about how it should be done.....

Well, 4 of us are on the same boat, but the sibling who my parents will be living with until they find a house is the one who is on her own. She is a wonderful person and great caregiver...dont get me wrong; she is just the one who does not agree with what we think should be done now and in the future involving their care. This really isnt a democracy and the final decision is my parents', but since she will be their primary caregiver in the short future; they tend to listen to her ideas more. I guess they feel they owe that to her ...the guilt is beginning to set in.

Its difficult to explain and I prefer not to get into too much detail, but I sense a mountain of trouble up ahead.

When I was 16, our dad had a stroke and the older ones bickered quite a bit when it came to who was going to do what or who did more....that sort of thing. We are all very close and it saddens my parents when we argue and we usually dont, but this is  a new stage in our lives and I am an adult now, so I have some say so now. I am also a little more pepper-mouthed than my other sisters and dont like to be told what to do or for others to be bossy when it comes to my parents.

Surprised?

If you pray..pray for us and guidance for making the right decisions when we discuss situations involving our parents. If you dont pray...send some "white light" and well wishes our way.
