I downloaded and installed Yahoo MusicMatch Jukebox and allowed it to set itself as my default player. I didn't like it so I uninstalled. Now when I click on an MP3 nothing happens. I went to Set Program Access and Defaults. Default Media Player was set on Use My Current Media Player, and Musicmatch was NOT checked. I set it to use ITunes as my default player.
I clicked on an MP3 and it played. I clicked on another one and nothing happened. I checked and it was back to saying Use My Current Media Player. ITunes was no longer checked as the default player. I went into ITunes and set it as the default player. It again worked one time, but by the second MP3 was again set on Use My Current Media Player. I tried setting it again and restarted my computer. Same thing.
I now have to go into Program Accesses and reset the default to ITunes for each and every MP3 I play. I hate this, and I hate MusicMatch even more. I wrote Yahoo, but I already know they are jerks and will send me a form letter unrelated to my problem. Is there anything I can do?

My suggestion is to reinstall the media player you want to be the default one. it is quick and painless and will probably fix it's self when you do this.

Off the top of my head that would of been my answer, but if I thought about it I would have probably come up with another answer.
You must of spent too much time on LS to come up with that plush, you can be real geeky sometimes.
i dont know why but when ever any Yahoo download is uninstalled it usaully will break part of Windows
go here and download and install ccleaner. make sure you get the Slim build. ccleaner will unstill all the left over fragments that Windows failed to get rid of.
once it's installed open it up. click all of the boxes for the Cleaner settings except for Old prefetch data. check all of the boxes in the "Advanced settings" except for theses two boxes(very important these are left unchecked)
1. Tray notification cache 2. Hot fix uninstaller
now click on the broom icon that says Cleaner. click on "Analyze" and let it do its stuff. since this is the first time running ccleaner it will take several minutes as you will have lots of junk to clean out. once it's done scanning click "Run Cleaner" you may have to repeat this process several times to clean everything out.
once that is done click on the "Issues" icon. check all of the boxes for the "Issues settings" except for "Run at startup" now click on "Scan for issues". there will be lots of old registry enties that will show up. when it's done scanning click on "Fix selected issues" make sure you click make a back up when prompted. again you will have to repeat this process several times.
after you are done with ccleaner go make to your media player settings and make what ever media player you want fo the default player
i forgot to add..run ccleaner before you attempt to reinstall the Yahoo jukebox that way will get a fresh reinstall, thats if you chose to reinstall it. also, you should run ccleaner anyways
If it was me I would not install it again, I have not used MusicMatch for about 7 years now when it was nothing to do with Yahoo. I tend to use Windows Media Player most of the time, although Winamp as Photo suggested is not a bad idea.
