Not sure where to post this really, but I wanted to give those of you that responded to my original thread an update on the situation!


The problem has been resolved for the most part!  The kids found out why they weren't being allowed to come over anymore and sat down with Mom and Grampa.  They didn't mean to imply that the fighting between my hubby and I was bothering them. They were just curious why we were fighting more than usual, but unsure of how to ask us. 


I had a couple of talks with all of them; with the kids and without.  So hubby and I agree to keep the bickering and yelling to a minimum and in a different room if possible.  And the kids know that they are welcome to ask questions if they are unsure of a situation!  They were afraid of getting yelled at too!  (I would never yell at them though!)  Now they know that! 


Mom and Grampa apologized for overeacting, and hope that we can start over!  I am willing to do that.  They need friendship, not judgement.  There are still uncomfortable silences, but that will pass I'm sure!  I plan to invite all of them over to dinner sometime soon!  Thanks again all of you that responded to my original post!  I really was hurt and confused at the situation and your comments helped!

great news.


glad all has worked out I knew it would. But those friends need to learn one thing also, its a normal healthy part of a relationship to fight. tO BE ABUSED IS NOT.

 The cat in my AV is our Angel!  I just happened to be taking a picture of her when she was asleep, the first pic woke her up, the second pic I caught that yawn!


She is my mouser and likes to pose to get attention!  She just showed up on our doorstep about 4 years ago.  Skinny and scruffy I almost couldn't tell what color she was.
