I watched an interest documentary on Pakistan last week, and I hate to admit being shocked but, was shocked. How about this for respecting women. In Pakistan (and other Islamic countries) if a woman is raped she must have 4 adult male witnesses to stand up in her defence. If she doesn't and goes to the police, she will be found guily of adultery and executed or jailed. Currently a Pakitani human rights group believes there are approximately 3000 rape victims in prison for adultery.

The problem with Islam is that it's stuck in the 6th century. And they believe man does not have the right to change the word of god, so change is not going to be happening anytime soon.

I actually know more about Islam than I do Christianity! I maybe step into a church once a year, mostly for weddings! I went this sunday and my wife's childhood (gay) friend who just recently moved to Vancouver came with us. At the front of the church they had a water scene begining with a giant rainbow flag and Greg leaned over and asked if he'd missed "pride" week.

It was hilarious!
