My husband grew up on the Northshore so we visit family several times a year......Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mardi Gras, family vacation stop before heading out to Gulf shores.

I would have loved to see the OTHER orpheus with Harry Connick Jr.

We are having King Cake and Red Beans and Rice tonight to celebrate. My daughter took beads to all her classmates in preschool today and even told them what to say to get beads....she sounds really cute saying "Throw me something Mister!"

Well, they originally had some wind damage and my bro in law had some roof damage.....water in the house...that sort of thing. After the power went back on on and they went back to La. (stayed with us for 2 weeks)The house was almost  liveable and they were ready to move back in ...until the roofers fixing the roof damage managed to let the roof catch on fire, which caused more roof damage and smoke damage throughout the house. So they are going on 6 months of living with my father in law and surviving on the few things they had in their possession before everything got damaged and had to be hauled off to storage to be cleaned and decontaminated. (Insurance thing)

While they have a house to live in and the resources to fix their home and provide their children with what they need to survive, they miss their home and are increasing in their frustration as they wait for the house to be completely fixed.
