The execution of Michael Morales, who brutally murdered and raped 17-year-old Terri Winchell in 1981, has been postponed indefinitely by the state of California because officials could not comply with a federal judge's order that Morales not feel any pain while being executed.
U.S. District Court Judge Jeremy Fogel ordered prison officials to make medical experts available at Morales' execution to ensure that his lethal injection did not inflict any necessary pain. When two anesthesiologists refused early Tuesday to be present to make sure Morales was unconscious before receiving the lethal injection, officials postponed the execution when replacements could not be found.
Morales was convicted of strangling Terri Winchell with a belt, hitting her with a hammer 24 times, and when that failed to kill her, finally stabbing her to death. He then raped her and mutilated her body.
San Quentin State Prison spokesman Lt. Vernell Crittendon said he expects a court hearing in May to review California's lethal injection method of execution. At least three appeals are before the U.S. Supreme Court challenging the process as cruel and unusual.

what the fuck I say we beat his ass with a hammer and then stab him just like he did the victim whowas NOT GIVEN that pleasure, no pain when dying.
what a POS he deserves to be burned at the stake with lightr fluid on ceertain parts.
I wish we executed people like they do where you are. We have 650 people waiting and it takes about 25 years for them to finally get their injections.
I was watching the news, when the two assistants refused due to their morals. What a crock of shit. Hell, I would have volunteered to find a vein. But, dam it, my phone didn't ring.
Morales is a fucken baby, he admitted to killing her but cried when it came to his turn.
I see what you're saying.... a lot of convicted people have been released in the past few years. Wouldn't that be a kicker, execute someone and find out they were innocent after all????
If he truly is guilty, he should feel the pain for the pain he inflicted on the victem!

And your point is???? Don't have one? Well then shut up and I'll give you one!
yea, get this. Some university started research on using new DNA tech to re-evaluate past cases of convicted but dead, and/or executed criminals. Within the first term, they found over 400 cases where new evidence proved they were not the right person. After they began publishing their findings they were told that it would be in every ones best interest if they did not continue that line of research! WTF?
