Anyone else watch these shows? I love them I have always wanted to be in forensics.. but it is very time consuming and I want to be here with my family so i had to make a choice later on in life perhaps when my baby is grown up .. But that is my secret passion
They are good shows but to me they give too much details about how to commit crimes and get away with them. Other than that I watch them all the time. I wish wish we could solve crimes in a hour like CSI can.

lol I would love to do that lol but not commit crimes i dont ever think about doing them either ... also the other thing that stopds me from forensics is blood not dried blood sprayed blood oh yeah i vomit badly lol
I watch them all. Really like CSI. My daughter and I watch them together. She is studying to do the forensics stuff, she wants to be a lab rat, she's a bit scared to be out in the field.

And your point is???? Don't have one? Well then shut up and I'll give you one!
I like both shows, but never have time to watch them. Our daughter is a bit too wise for her age and is starting to grasp concepts regarding shows of the sort. Its not age appropriate, by any means.
Hubby and I watch City Confidential and Forensic Files when she goes to sleep. We are just amazed at how stupid people are......for example, sending threatening messages to an enemy from their work computer...and then when they get caught after killing said enemy....wonder why they couldnt get away with the perfect crime.
I love those shows, but they do let the criminal element know what can be used to track them down.....hmm..too many secrets , I say.

I am with you when it comes to watching City Confidential and Forensic Files. I love those shows. The CSIs are ok. I like watching NCIS and SVU.

I like the guy in SVU.....the one who plays Elliot (I think)....the actor with the Italian last name and not much hair.

My wife watches them EVERYDAY... I used to like the show but it has seemed to grown into a "guilty" untill proven innocent kind of show. That always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I've started watching CSI on Spike TV (you know, the show they play when they aren't playing Star Trek: TNG). Like any other show, some stories are pretty good, some are pretty bad, and it's all nothing like reality.
Granted, I've only seen maybe 8 or 10 episodes, if that many. And I think I got the basic CSI show formula down:
Grissom shows up at crime scene, blah blah blah. Everyone's back at lab. At this point they either split up to investigate another crime, or they argue. Sometimes both. They give us a suspect, but it's not them. It's probably this other person. Nope, not them either. Back at square one. Turns out it's this person, usually the most unaassuming character the whole episode. I'm still waiting on someone to say "And would have gotten away with it, too if it hadn't been for you meddling CSI officers!" We wrap up with one of the female characters (every so often a guy character) bitching at Grissom for not really appreciating their more finer qualities.
This last sentence always gets me. Do you guys have any idea what my Leiutenant would say if at the end of shift I popped up in his door and say something like "You know, El Tee, I don't think you really appreciate me."?
I pretty much look at that show for what it is: Something I watch while a down a burrito.
